This program introduces students to the life, time and plays of Shakespeare. It uses a mixture of techniques and interpretations to demonstrate how Shakespeare has influenced modern society, culture and entertainment.
The program is broken down into six sections: Shakespeare's home, audience, theatre, histories, comedies and tragedies. Titus Andronicus is filmed like the modern horror film "Blair Witch Project", Twelfth Night in the style of the sitcom "Friends", the end of Macbeth as a western shootout. The film is subtitled to assist students with learning difficulties and to help students with English as a second language.
